Oregon’s football Chip Kelly recently announced that RB LaGarrette Blount might be reinstated before the end of the season. LaGarrette threw one of the nastier sucker punches in recent years when he floored Boise State’s Bryon Hout in the aftermath of their season opener. However, where does Blount’s sucker punch rate against other cheap shots thrown over the years.
Mello’s work in the Garden always comes to mind. The all-timer would most likely be Kermit Washington’s asualt of Rudy Tomjanovich. Much has been written about how the “punch” changed each man’s life. There is even a book about the event.
