October 15, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Last week I went 4-0 with my Stone Cold Locks. There are a couple of tough matchups this week, still plenty of undefeated teams that will eventually lose. Someone will lose but will they cover?

Baltimore Ravens +3 vs Minnesota Vikings -3 Stone Cold Lock

The Ravens on paper lead the Vikings in all matchup categories. The ravens have loss two games in a row after starting the season 3-0. Losing to two tough teams the Patriots and the Bengals. They face a Vikings defense that have help opponents to 310.6 yards per game. The Vikings have been outscoring opponents by an average of 13.2 points per game.

The Vikings playing at home is clearly a stronger team. The Vikings are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread.  The Ravens are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games. Head to head the Ravens are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. The Vikings have only failed to cover once playing a tough 49ers defense.

Joe Flacco has thrown three INTs in his last two games. Flacco was held to 186 yards passing last week after a fast start. Look for Brett Favre to have another good day. So far Favre has been fairly mistake free. The keys will be the running game. If the Ravens defense can stop Adrian Peterson, which has been held to 85, 55, and 69 yards in his last three games, then the Ravens and concentrate on stopping Favre. Again Favre mistake free, Peterson, and Vikings at home, are key.

Take the Vikings -3. (3 UNITS)
